This event will now start at Kiln Pit Hill as Wylam High Street is closed until 13th Sept!
The route passes no petrol stations. I will be taking a 20 ltr jerrican of motion lotion in case anyone is caught short. Fuel charges will be reasonable. Total mileage around the 90 mark.. Meet at Kiln Pit Hill 10.00 on Sunday 4th September. Entry is a measly 3 quidlets.
We will be lunching at the Cross Keys in Thropton. It’s a nice pub but, like many similar places, it’s having a tough time. They are very pleased we are going so it would be nice if you could see your way clear to buy something from them. A cup of tea, a pint of fizzy or a plate of chips – anything.
It will be run under VMCC rules which means VMCC membership cards will need to be shown.
Good weather has been requested from the appropriate authorities.
See you at K.P.H on Sunday 4th at 10.00.
I have the honour, as chief dogsbody and Petty Official to declare the results of the Bob Rawlings Run 2022, held in variable weather on Sunday 4th September. Hold on to your hats everyone!

There you go – Our Cultural Attaché triumphs on a Triumph!
Signed photos will be available at reasonable rates!!
Just to let you know, we have SPECIALLY BUILT a large petrol station just off the route in the morning, about 11 miles from the start. It looks very like the Shell station in Corbridge.
We have also moved another petrol station to within a mile of the route in the afternoon. That is about 10 miles from the finish
The route sheets have the relevant (and irrelevant) information on them.
So those of you who have limited capacity are catered for in loads of different way.
The Northumbrian Section – kind, considerate ant thoughtful as ever!!!!
